Guest rooms showcase one-of-a-kind decor created by local artists, making each stay visually inspiring and immersive. The property’s relaxed, bohemian vibe extends through its comfortable rooms, some featuring kitchens, allowing for extended stays or self-catering.

While the hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking, travelers should note there is no accessible access or pool available. “Very cool place, very cool room. No issues with anything. The owner was nice enough to let us know we'd forgotten a necklace in the room when we checked out so we could pop back in and pick it up. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If you're booking through the website be sure to check the availability of each room. There is a separate calendar for each room, but that isn't made very clear. Initially we were booking a different hotel because we though this one was full, but after looking again we realized we had only been checking one of the rooms. Our only wish for the future is that the folk art room gets a door on the connected bathroom. It's not too much bother to hang out in the living room while your significant other does their business, but it's not ideal.”

“I was attending an art opening. Great gallery space intertwined with a pleasant, bohemian shared space. Saw two of the ArBnB rooms decorated with all local art and cool thrifted vibe. Looking forward to more art events!”

“This place is incredible! Such a unique and beautiful venue. They hosted a party for us and provided 2 rooms for out of town guests to stay overnight. The rooms are distinctive and the art is beautiful. Haydee and the rest of the staff are super accommodating and delightful to work with. One of my favorite aspects of their unique business model is that a portion of the proceeds go to the local artists displaying their work. Support your local arts scene and check this place out! We had over 40 people at our event and everyone kept commenting on the beautiful and interesting venue. It's a hidden gem in downtown Winston-Salem. You will not be disappointed!”

“Really Fun Idea. Every Room has local artists that have Designed each room. Most of the art is for sale.”

“AMAZING PLACE!! I had my wedding reception here in June and stayed in the green room for a few nights beforehand. Haydee is the best to work with! She was so flexible with us and really went above and beyond to help make our reception come together beautifully. Staying in the green room felt like I was in a fairy tale. The Wherehouse Art Hotel is such a unique, hidden gem in Winston-Salem. Highly, highly recommend - for private events or just staying the night, this place is awesome! :)”

“My bridesmaids and I stayed here before my wedding and had an absolutely wonderful time! Every little piece of decor and art is so well thought out and perfectly placed. I cannot imagine having stayed at a more perfect location. The beds were extremely comfortable, and all of our rooms were unique. We spent the evening under the solarium string lights, and it felt like magic. Haydee is such a good person and was a wonderful host! Due to last-minute accommodation cancellations a week before my bachelorette, we were almost out of a place to stay. I found the art hotel online, and even though it said “checkout only” for the night we needed it, Haydee was willing to unblock the rooms for us so that we could have somewhere special to stay. She went above and beyond, resupplying art tokens for us and answering any inquiries we had right away. I will certainly be staying here again and cannot recommend this place enough!”

“This place is awesome. My fiance and I rented out the entire hotel for our engagement party and to stay the night in. Haydee was a great host. She met all of our needs. The bartender that is provided by the venue was also great. She was able to keep the lines down and make everyone happy. The space is clean and aesthetically eye pleasing. I will be back!”

“Attended their first ever Art Mart. It was very interesting, but finding the front door was a real challenge. This place is not clearly marked from the street. Entered the building thru the coffee shop and discovered a hand written sign with an arrow pointing the way. You must be able to climb stairs in order to make use of this space. I did not see an elevator or any sort of handicapped access to this hotel.”
